I rescently purchased a Filter King fuel filter with pressure regulator to go on my mini but have now changed my plans and decided to go down the Forced Induction route *happy*

My question is will the Filter king and pressure regulator still be suitable for the turbo if the regulator is wound right open and fitted before the fuel pump? The filter has 8mm inlet and outlet unions.

I also purchased a New Fascet Fuel pump which is now useless as it only supplys a max of 5.5psi fuel pressure *frown* (new and boxed if anyone is interested and after one *tongue* )

And finally my last question, well for now anyway.
Im looking for a fuel pressure regulator with the return for turbos and came across this on ebay, the drawing looks like the Metro Turbo one but wanted some opinions before purchaseing :$

If I dont get that "add" wrong it is for reducing the high pressure in a injected car/engine for setting up a carb wich dont need that much pressure. I cant understand how that will work in your aplication??

Thats what i am trying to find out. I bought the Filter King for my NA 1330cc but am now going for forced induction, just trying to find out if i can still use the filter side of it for a Turbo conversion.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

that regulator in the ebay ad seems fine. i'd say your better off selling the filter and regulator then getting a cheaper filter off a modern injection car. think the focus one is good for a mini.

the only thing that concerned me with the regulator on ebay is where it says 60psi down to 5pi

Certainly looks the very thing!
Fuel reg on a turbo needs to increase the fuel pressure as the boost rises so the petrol stays in the carb float chamber at the right level 'n isn't forced back down the fuel pipe. I suppose it's because BL used a pressure regulator intended for injection that you need an OTT fuel pump in the first place! Better option than the filter king would be a fuel filter (like the Focus one suggested) between the tank and the expensive roller vane pump you'll need to buy and fit near the tank. (Next problem waiting for your attention will be the fuel return)

I have asked the seller the question so hopefully it will be what im after and vary the fuel pressure according to the boost pressure and not be fixed at the 5psi.

As for fuel pump, hopefully one of these will do the job nicely :)

minimad69, which facet pump did you buy? was it the redtop??? If so I may be interested in buying it from you, or maybe part exchange as I may have some bits you need.
