Hi,
seeing as i joined i thought i'd post a pic which i can link into the "introduce yourself" thread i just posted.

She'll be dekitted, and have the soundsystem and definately the bonnet removed. They'll be up for sale on this site soon i think.

I don't think he planning on selling the car, just the old chav bits he removes.

You might have more luck selling the stuff on TMF or Minifinity, not too many mambers on here into sound and that look.

What other plans do you have?

Nice Douglas Adams quote.

thanks for the advice on where to sell.
I'm not into "ice" or the chav racer look either. Thats why i'm looking to get rid of it.

So far the only major thing i have done is replace the rear subframe, i seam welded the frame and had it Zinc Treated before installation so it will now outlast the shell.

That car needs other repairs before i can MOT it, it was off the road for a while.

The engine turns over but doesn't start so i've removed the fuel system (the tank had to come out to fit the subframe anyway) and i think the original tank will be replced by an Aluminium tank

The sills and the interior of the wheel well need repairing.

Once she's MOT'd;

Full rollcage in, custom built to fit to the front and rear subframes which will be permanently attached to the shell.

Coilovers all round, with A-arm suspension arms.

Fibreglass (or Carbon if finances allow) flip front + lightening wherever possible.

Conversion to full electronic closed-loop engine control.

upgrade brakes to 8.4" Vented and drilled disks. 4-pot Aluminium Calipers.

Poly-Carb windows, riveted in place.

Rear Venturi tunnel.

That should be about it for now, after that i'm looking for a lightweight reliable Turbo or Supercharged engine to mount in the rear (not aswell as the turbo in the front tho). Hopefully producing somewhere in the region of 200-250bhp.

I know it all sounds over the top and stupidly expensive (especially on a student's budget) but i work with metal all the time so for the roll cage and custom-fab body kit i'll only pay material costs.
The car is going pure motorsport, influenced by the likes of 1970's super saloons or 1994 'Fastest mini in the world' race at silverstone.

Because i'm an engineering student at uni i thought i'd put some of the theory into practice as we do virtually nothing 'hand on' in the course.
