1st pic.
what i should connect in E and what in A connections?
i have pipe going out same like E just from other side, where that one goes?
are they just connected together both sides together?

2nd pic. i have there empty, but it looks like there should be something, no? should i just block it or leave like it is?

3rd pic. same like in 1st pic A but with pipe with goes from other side of engine from ( timing cover)?

i am really sorry, but i do not know all that part names :/ hopefully will learn something :):)

any suggestions, do not want mess about it :)

A= Breather

E= Coolant connector for the inlet (there will be one the other side of the inlet aswell)

The middle picture either needs a pipe fitting to it and being blanked off or if your fitting a bleed valve you would connect this to the bleed valve.

about E, but should i connect them somewhere or leave like it is? because when i bought engine there was pipe connected from other side, but i do not know where it does :(

About A is it the same what does out from other side of engine, pipe with small breather filter on it? Can i just connect them together?

thank you

Breathers should either go into a catch tank or have pipes and/or filters on them.

You don't need to connect the heater hoses on the manifold. They only really help in winter.

On our metro van, I ran both of the nipples on the turbo into a t piece, then from the t piece to a bleed valve and from the bleed valve to the actuator. This is probably over kill. At worst you need to block this one of or all your lovely boost will escape into your engine bay.

In addition to the answers above, in the 3rd photo, there is a bolt missing that holds the breather cannister onto the transfer housing.

Also, do you know the history of the cylinder head ??? A Metro head wouldn't have the heater take-off that is showing in the 3rd photo unless it's been modified to suit.

No, don't block it, the standard Mini plumbing has the heater hose coming out of the head as shown in your photo....

The reason I questioned it is because Metros don't have the connection in that place.

So either the Metro head was modified to suit a Mini (quite an easy job) or you don't actually have a Metro (Turbo) head but a 1275 Mini head.

Not that it makes much difference, there is nothing special about the Metro Turbo head apart from sodium exhaust valve stems which most people don't think are necissary but it's allways nice to know the history of what you have bought....

block it.

Migh seam like a daft question, but is you incomplete plumbing causing this problem:

The Metro heads also had no bypass hose.... opposite end to the heater pipe and underneath, Mini heads have a small tube going down into the water pump, Metros don't.

But again, it is easy to modify a Metro head and add this connection.

To tell a Metro Turbo head, the safest way is to take the rocker cover off and measure the diameter of the valve stems - factory Metro turbo exhaust valve stems are larger than the inlets.

But it's no big deal, the differences are minor, it's just a case of knowing what you have got.
