haha, well i was kidding about matching them up originally, obviously i have a weak sense of humour :p
But i quite like the idea of an anodised dump valve with matching dash pot cover AND oil cooler AND braided hoses *wink* hehe .... i have anodised bonnet pins .... now i think they WERE a mistake :p nevermind eh, we'll see how it looks when its finished :p

Iain,

If you want to really make the kit 'complete' you need to get a qoute for a 1/8BSPT to 1/8BSP adaptor, so that you aren't trying to wind a parrallel banjo bolt into a taper hole. The 'original' metro turbo had such a fitting...

FYI, the metro turbocharger thread pitch is 27TPI.
I'm sure the one from avonbar uses a more common 26 or a 28TPI and relies on it simply being an alloy banjo bolt that is it would into the thread and deforms to suit....

What im trying to do is get something that does the job of the original fittings but flexible!

Got a quote back: For exactly (as in from the same place) the same kit as avonbar etc i can do it for ?45 posted by the looks of things. So thats roughly ?10-?15 cheaper so far.
Thats on a single order basis so everyone can have one when they want one. Im also getting quotes on all other braided hoses, brakes etc.

Im going to try some more suppliers tomorrow and friday to see if i can get something better to do the job cheaper.

Yeah i agree dave, im getting quotes for fitting to the 1/8NPT hole in the block. It may have an extra fitting but means that it does the job correctly, has anyone ever taken out one of those avonbar ones? They dont look pretty once they've been fitted!

I thought only the later (cooper) blocks were 1/8NPT?

I've been digging.....

I need to make a hose to feed my IHI RHF4 turbo. Is the most comm thing to use a 1/8BSP banjo?

I presume that this is what is on my other two cars and never had a problem. It may be a bodge, but I just want to confirm before i order.

Cheers

Shouldnt be anything wrong with a banjo fitting Wil. My mate works for HEL performance so i'll have a word with him.

Is there a call for a group buy on braided oil lines? I can sort one out if there is demand.

I would need specs of the hose though, or prefferable one to copy.

It would be done by HEL performance who make top quality hoses and supply ALOT of the top people.
