after the "mullered diff pin " post i thought it might be good to see some more badly worn parts, When i get a mo i'll post my some of my pics up to start things off. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

My old 1275 had been burning oil for a few months, and after thrashing the crap put it up the dragstrip for 20 runs (makeing it a tad worse:cool:) i decided it was time to find the problem Edited by evolotion on 24th Apr, 2004. turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

I know of a website in the making that will be 'bent' bits of cars as a result of too many revs, psi's or just plain abuse.. (not including bent cars max powa stylee however!) On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:

do the bits have to be from a mini? i only asjk cos ive got the back cog off my motorbike that i destroyed... its missing about 1/4 of itsd teeth! ill see if i can find a photo.... And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers! |

It's not easy to see, but the bearing block is very worn where the thrust bearings sat and the thrust bearings are only steel as all the phospher bronze (i think) has worn away.

Here is my 800 miles old MED engine, you can still see the honing marks, 3 pistons, block & head fucked! make sure you get your timming spot on!! this was done the day before my car was bocked in on the rollers, while running the engine in.

Actually Miniwillaiams, the crank survived. The gut who does the machining on my engines cleaned up the thrust bearing face and got some thicker thrust washers to fit. He also did the centre main strap right.

My old Omega pistons - two were like this - the ring land above was also fractured off, but stayed in place!
