Its getting there bit by bit, could do with a week off work to crack on with it and get it ready for spraying really.

Pictures are good (a picture says a thousand words *smiley* ), i searched this site and looked at every picture of the turbo box i could and got as much info as poss before i started mine and got to say it was pretty straight forward and didnt have any trouble at all fitting it.

I know its sounds silly, but has that been welded in? I can't make out the welds at all!

yeah its been fully seam welded , including the box itself just smoothed back a bit before the weld sealer was added. The top lip isnt welded in yet as im not sure what im doing in that area and didnt want to weld it just to end up cutting it out in a few days.

Phew!!! ive got a weber box that joins up exactly where that weld would be. It does give a little more access to the carb, and the screws that hold the plenum on!

Yeah the plate that came with the box was a waste of space, wouldnt have fitted properly and the angle would have been totally wrong so i just made up my own plate and made the angle as big as possible to give more clearance

will you post pics of that big hole & when you put the webber box in, i'm doing the same on my dads van haha, just for the sake of space & ease of removal of parts, my dads van isnt a turbo but the box's are being welded in just in case

certainly is T3Tone, should make life a tad easier i hope.

Josh, prob not a lot of room for a centre speedo with the box, im running a digital speedo so its not a problem for me.

fordimus maximus , dont worry mate just take your time, measure 5 times and cut once *happy*. I used a small angle grinder to cut everything out and i used a mig welder.

Looking good mate, loads of knuckle flesh saved there! :)

Before you put the engine in I would wack a big weld on the top side of the engine tie bar mount, mine ripped off and its a pig to get a welder too now. I think theres only a few spot welds holding them on from standard. *wink*
