Hi harry, a lot of people on here are doing the conversion, including myself!! Nice to see some different interpretations. The cam belt tensioner location is interesting in some of those pics. And yet another different set of cam pulley wheels from what others are using! I just need to brush up on my German to read it all!! |

I am using Honda wheels, made them adjustable myself. I tried to position the belt as near as possible to head to keep the lever arm, seen by the the 1st cam bearings, short. I like my idea regarding the oil return.... Bimmer Twinky headed and turboed A-Series:

looks to me dave like hes trimming down a to4 wheel to fit a smaller housing ? Medusa + injection = too much torque for the dyno ..https://youtu.be/qg5o0_tJxYM |

the bottom pulley is a modified Honda one; I will use the original steel head gasket from BMW; the compressor wheel (hybrid) was too high for mounting on the turbineshaft; injectors will stay at the "usual" place on the top of the runners; even the stock hood fits with these pulleys! Exhaust runners will be made from mandrel bent SS pipes. Cams will be the K1 (RS) ones.

Harry, a bit off topic but I like what you have done with those brake bells ... may I be cheeky and ask what the base discs are meant for / where you got them? Every day is a school day ...........
