i don't have an engine hoist, and i might be getting an engine from someone, i was wondering whether 2 adults could lift a whole engine and box into the boot of a car without the hoist?? |

yeh, as above really, i went a bought a turbo engine complete, me and my mate turned up in my m*tro and the guy asked when we were coming to pick it up. he thought we were joking when i said we were going to put it in the boot!!! does tend to make the car very back heavy, i went back across the ferry (poole - swanage if anyone knows the area) and it was low tide, so the back of the car bottemed out quite badly!! And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers! |

The putting in and geeting out an engine from a car boot is simple, just use a plank of wood and walk it up the plank. done this a couple of times. not sure it would wrk putting it into an engine bay tho...

just lift it out , trolley jack as hi as u can and then bear hug it out ,once your past the point of no return the fear of dropping it and breaking legs and or engine gives you amazing strengths that you never knew you had. Everyone knows that instructions only have to be read if the thing doesn't work....
