this traveller i have, i'm restoring it back to nearly original as i can. got an early 998 and i have some turbo gear lying about. do you think i should bang the turbo on the 998 and have a sneaky std turbo traveller?
or you think it would be a crime?? the car is a 1961?!

opinions please!

i have a 1962 van and plan to do the same thing except it'll be an 850. i'll see if i can get a manifold to mount the tunbo over the clutch so i dont have to cut the bulkhead as that'd be sin.

I've seen the future and tbh its Pie

do it but, dont cut the bulkhead and make sure it can go back to sandard

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

i might have to cut it. i wanna keep it standard looking so dont really want the turbo over the clutch. everything will be standard apart from the motor really. even keeping 10'' steelies on with the wheel trims!

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

mirage manifolds it is then. i defo wouldnt cut it to make it fit.

the £350 on the mirage manifolds would be money well spent.

I forgot how to post photoes and i think a photo of the setup is on this site some where. how about placing the turbo under the car at the back wheel if its room. i know the mini have room.
the pipe that running from the turbo into the engine will work as a smal intercooler.

I like nice quiet girly Minis

Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

Due to the potential value I'd not be cutting it about.

Mirage manifolds would be my choice for that.

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

if it was me then I would sell your turbo kit to a nice person (cough) and then do the traveler standard

No seriously I would keep it standard. Have it as a concours car

when i drove a 10" wheeled Mini last it felt insane !
