I was looking at a couple of his posts the other day and I noticed that his sig has changed to the following:

No longer a TM contributor but if I can help you off site then email mini1071s@hotmail.com and I will be pleased to help. Cheers.

and quite a few of his posts have been deleted:

http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums/index.p...t&tid=7906&fr=0

It was only the other day that Sprocket stopped posting as well. It's a shame as both of them had different approaches to the tried & tested methods and they both new there arse hole from there exhaust elbow.

We're not turning into TMF are we?

I think TM is perfectly healthy with or without them. Their loss not mine as far as I'm concerned.

I'll be happy to by both a pint at Avon if they turn up.

I'm as interested as anyone in seeing ANY of Petes minis, anyone catch him at the riv run? seems a shame that he said he went but didn't bother to make himself known to other members who were there in well known (to TM) cars!

He's going back and deleting his posts now?

Thats fucking sad IMO.

No one made him leave, not me, not TD, not anyone other than himself!

i like pete, but dont see anything wrong with people asking for him to back up his acheivements with a few pictures, i mean come on pete!

Doing such radical 'out there' stuff and being so secretive about it all is basically an invitation for accusations of all kinds, spitting his dummy because some people showed scepticism towards some of his claims is really a bit silly, come on now...

I havent seen any, but if he is deleting his old posts out of 'spite' or whatever, well thats like going home and taking your football with you, get a grip pete!

Then why get so upset when asked to prove a small point?

Could he not just have been a kid in a library?

Wether or not Peter's project existed to the extent he claimed is a matter of conjecture.

However, fact of the matter is that he was one of the most valuable contributors to this forum. He must have spent hours answering questions from Newbies. He technical knowledge was vast and he was one of a few on here who tried to push the boundaries of what we know and understand about turbocharging.

Fact is, in my opinion, a lot of the people who regularly frequent this forum, moderators (particularly the bench racers), self proclaimed experts included, are not fit to lick his boots.

Well, I can only assume that you guys didn't spend hours writing articles for 'maga7ine' to hear nothing at all back.

Or in the case of one site member - who arranged a cool site for a photoshoot, arranged a photographer, and wrote the words, and sent it to 'magazine' only to recieve ZERO communications via telephone, email to several addresses AND the PM facility on here (which proved they were being read, just not answered), then folks start to get a little pissed.

Look, I cannot agree more that his posts were informative, and that he DID bring value to the site (I say DID - because they are now not there anymore in many topics).

However, I am not about to lick any boots of a false prophet.

To bring in a past quote:

In my opinion, I believe I have him summed up correctly in my mind; a VERY clever guy who just let things and his imagination get out of control. I'm not saying he never made anything - I'm saying we oftern heard what he was thinking as fact before it had actually happened.

I have actually had a pleasure of speaking personally with him - something that probably puts me in a VERY select group, I have also recieved a highly complex excel spreadsheet on cam duration vs overlap vs CR vs all kinds of other things which he chose to share with me - equally - I have shared information with him off the site.

I left minifinity because I couldn't stand the shite off a certain engine builder and some gobshite called nightrain - I got little sorrow. Peter leaving TM and creating a stir clearly shows how when he provided INFORMATION or joined in discussions, he was exceptionally well valued. The rest of the time - well........

Look - If you don't like the way the team plays, go and watch another match. It's the same basic principles at all the different stadiums. But calling members of your current team is not exactly usefull or of benefit.
