I plan to take me, the gf and the car to avon on the friday afternoon.

Although i've just rung up my RR operator to find out he's on holiday for 2 weeks, booked up for 2 weeks so only leaves me the week before avon for a final setup... Hmm... Oh well, lastminute.com was what Dan said!!!

fingers crossed all the niggles have already been sorted so it should be fairly straight forward... famous last words.

So who's going and who's racing?

Dont forget the beer and thats about it really!

Anybody got a decent sized bbq to bring along for the saturday night? then the usual chipping in with charcoal, petrol for the genny (if anyone is bringing one!) etc rules apply

i'll be there for defo & my dad will more than likely come along too! he's my pit crue i'll mixing between you chaps & my local mini club!

i'm hoping to have my 998 turbo motor in & at least running!!!

i'd really like to get it all setup & running well enough for a few runs up the strip but i think i'll be pushing it, i'll try my damned-ist though!!!

....i had to decline him on the offer

i need to iron out some niggly problems with my car, and get it set up as its gone really out of tune

but buying an elise means:
1) im not going to be able to afford to get it set up for a few more weeks, and thus not get used to driving it
b) i probably wont have a tow car

so it probably looks like i will be attempting to drive the thing there, which isnt a problem, but will it get me home????

to be honest, i dont have much enthusiasm for the mini at the moment

Im going to have a go up the strip I think this year. I can't remember, do you need the paper part of your driving license?

Hopefully going on the Friday night but not sure yet..will have to confirm with, as Dev puts it "management"...LOl.

I was thinking of bringing a generator, not sure whether to bother if everyone is chipping in petrol etc?

Suncream has got to be on the top of the "to bring list" after past years experiance.

both parts of the licence, long sleeved top, and a helmet (though they only say you need one if crossing the line at 100mph+, i think), and alcohol

i would suggest you would also need a sense of humor and large supply of water if last year was anything to go by.

oh and sun hat for all you baldies out there.

i won't be racing as the "management" has forbidden dragging but strangely is allowing Nurburgring.......

THE mini is my same old mini, it's just called THE mini, as I spend so much time talking about it, and not doing a lot with it, so a few of the lads have been taking the piss, and given it the name THE mini

so nothing special on my car which you gues didn't see last year.
