I coloured mine in:

This actually helps quite a bit.

Key things to note:

The rear diagonals (shown in grey) do not cross like most roll cages, instead they go from the centre on the main hoop (light green) down to the rear turrets.

The heal bar (orange) almost touches the heal board, it's not straight like the computer drawing shows, if you look at the photo's in the magazine article you can see that it's been stitch welded to the heal board.

The purple bars (who knows there correct name) do not mount the the rear wheel arches in the conventional place.

The dark green bar goes between the turret tops like a rear strut brace.

The purple, grey, turquoise & pink bars all go through the rear bulk head and connect to the dark green bar.

I think the main hoop sits further back than it goes in a lot of cages.

I hope that helps.

The door bars on the MIG look as if they would foul on the door handles is you left them in the original position, where as the ones on the 7 look a lot lower, might be worth bareing this in mind when you fit your cage.

LOL @ Rob H

I don't mind welding the bugger in for you but if you think I'm going to spray each bar a silly colour and airbrush the welds then you have another thing coming.

Feel free to do that yourself and I'll video it and get Candic to take pics so everybody can laugh.

The harlequin cage .... LOL

These cages can be a pain to fit but boy are they worth it ..... t

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

gareth yours was the one in minimag then. RobH your colour coded picture is a good idea, im just starting to get an idea of how compreshensive the cage is, there are 5 tubes joining at each rear arch!

I don't see what's so funny, I'm very proud of my colouring in and it's now stuck on my parents' fridge.

Nice to see you added bends to the top-rail :)

I've been thinking about buying/making such a cage but haven't seen examples of cages build that way until now
