John Hastons best time as far as I'm aware was a 12.2sec pass, I think this is also a personal best for John so a big well done to him.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

Mine was a poor 15.1 at 92mph but to be fair, first time on the strip and first run out for the car. plenty more to come looking at the poor times i ran! Also had a 16.8 at 96mph *happy*

oh and the first run of 19.7 and 51mph where the fuel pump would only supply enough fuel to last and 1/8th at full throttle!

I was struggling to get the tyres warm as i had no handbrake. the first run was the best, and thats where i ended up with rubber on the rear arches after the burn out so much better!

still lots to learn, all good fun!

Need to knock just over a second off and then i'll start be getting happier for what is quite a heavy car.

(look at all those excuses!!! *happy*)

saw 3 of them running. 16+ mark, which I thought was good. They are not really designed for the pod in fairness. First time I've ever seen a miglia...they are a sexy mini.

so at least it proves i was in theory running more power than the migs that ran... knocked a second off and mine would weigh more than a standard mig as well.

doing something right, guess i need to start thinking about what i want to do with the car and whether to start the lightening process.

We'll see how the car fairs at combe first before getting silly... it never was built as a drag car.

The several Migs I saw were 15.5 / 15.1 and a mini seven with 16.2 (The best Mig I've seen before was 14.4)

So the 4 secs to 60 they claim is a lie then? Or i suppose it could be down to low gearing.

I need to think of some more excuses then! *happy*

all will be fixed with more boost!

Oh and it also helped lifting the rev limit as i was limited to sub 100mph with the soft cut and a 3.9

i thought a 3.9 might work well but it was actually crap!

i've got a 3.1 or 3.2 at home to give a whirl. hopefully with a quaife or something over the winter.

At least i've set myself some easy times to beat although i didnt see my last time which in theory should be the quickest as i'd raised the limiter etc.

To be honest, 14.4 from a 640 kilo car with 125hp sounds pretty credible....

John's is a 1380 NA, with plenty of nitrous, the car is the sky blue mini sprint, an extremely tidy car, well worth going to look round.

Well I saw serveal Minis get to around 100mph over the line, so unless they are geared to sub 100 miles an hour I can't see the gearing as an issue.

I heard a Se7en got a high 15 seconds

Remember that the se7en driver was Deviny who is pure class whilst the Mig drivers were Sarah Munns and Gordon Pocock who are both reasonable but still mid field.

In a race the fastest Se7en is equal to the slower miglias.
