Force Racing ICT Dept Manager Miglia Turbo Am frum Yokshyer tha noes!

Drove a pretty quick 1380 mini today running a weber, and its put ideas in my head. Me and the missus are buying a house, and ive told myself I AM NOT GETTING RID OF THE MINI. However i really want to get it out on the road now,

I have 2 options

1. I carry on going with the turbo (may take a while as i need SC, Drops. Gears ect. Turbo)

or 2. I go down the N/A Route cheaper option and get it on the road quicker.

What should i do!!!

I think the turbo option could be a cheaper form of power than a N/A. :)

Build it with a standard box and limit the boost. You'll soon find the 壣 for the straight cuts when the boost bug has bitten you.

if you build the 1380 you'll only be wanting a turbo-and then you will have spend the money twice

Fooking hell, thats a bargain!

Your looking at £200K plus here for an OK 2 bed semi...quite often without a garage aswell!

I think im gonna be forced to move from this area to get a decent place. *oh well*

Buying a house is a smart move TBH, OK so it may have left me having to watch the pennies a bit for a few years, but its already gained just over £10k apparently, get on the ladder ASAP is my advice.

Weve been looking for about a month now, just trying to find something suitable. Decent Size, Area, Parking ect ect. Also Matty your wage is probably more than what mine is, if you were to move here you would probably take a pay cut. 95k is alot of money for me and the missus.

Ive been looking and saving for about a year now. Ive got a decent deposit and can get a mortgage but the repayments are over £800 a month!!

I couldn't agree more with Tom, its just house prices are crazy round here!

All the engineers at my work get paid the same amount regardless of location, so living round here you end up losing out! lol

The house prices have sort of flat lined at the moment, With all these houses being built around us hopefully it will stay that way for a while and let a few folk get on the market. Knowing my luck ill buy a house then the market will crash lol!

Jeez, no wonder why you've turned into a perv.

BTW: How does he manage two girfriends (or even more)? I tried once, did not turn out very well at all.

I like nice quiet girly Minis

Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

If your fairly handy I'd recomend buying a project as you can make a killing.

Make sure it has double glazing and gas already to the property as these are the big killers finacially ..... trust me I know!!

There is no way I'd have bought a decnet house in Cheltenham on my salary if I'd not bought a project. Paid around £137k and when finished (getting there, early next year I hope) it should be worth in the region of £225k and I've spent about £30k on it. That's a fairly good return if you ask me. I could have probably do the house in a year if all my "friends" hadn't hid every time I asked for help, why I still do their cars is beyond me, must be going soft!! Gentle pace and 3 years, whilst still doing a bit of racing and many other hobbies has been worth the effort.

My one main tip is try to do it in stages. My place would have been SO MUCH easier if I could have done one room at a time but I had to have it ALL plastered (something I am not good enough to do myself) it meant instant building site.

Worth considering the resto option for sure.

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

I have thought about that, they seem few and far between though, as property developers seems to get there grubby little mits on them!!

Any tips on where to find them, as I haven't seen any advertised in the usual house hunting sites etc?
