No longer required - very very good bit of kit, used by Mig boys a lot, direct from pedal clutch actuation (pre verto) - nice ratio, not too heavy with a grey

no more leaky masters or slaves!

I don't think that is a silly question at all. Either that or I am dim too?

I think you have to drill through your bulkhead, and then you have a steel rod going from the pedal to the linkage.

Through the magic of linkages (that take me ages to get my head around) it then converts this to the pushing motion needed for the clutch.

Im wondering if the mechanism does, or can be adapted to make the pedal feel much lighter

john said a hole has to be drilled in the bulkhead and drill the pedal for the clevis pin

even i could get how it works so cant be that hard eh :p

its probably going to feel stiffer as the fluid isnt doing the work for you, then also it might be changing the pivot point, aparently can all be done with the engine in the car but i have bias pedal box so im still wondering if i have to take apart stuff

id imagin thats how it works, the kit looks like it has conection that lock to the arm (on the gold part, imagin that as the female point and the arm is male)

CLutch cover dictates pressure.

You can play with leverage here there and everywhere. But at the end of the day. The clutch cover is fixed, and still requires xxx lbs to release..

The only way to reduce effort at the pedal, is to increase the stroke of the pedal.

Sorry guys busy doing mini stuff

a hole is drilled on the clutch pedal to take the long rod and clevis - as pic - (this then comes out horozontaly through the bulkhead) the alloy bellcrank bolts onto one of the slave cylinder bolt holes on clutch case. The bit missing from the picture is another small rod which goes from the bellcrank to the std mini pre verto arm. You can play with rod lengths to position the pedal, you could alter the position of the hole in the pedal this will change the ratio of pedal movement to release bearing motion.

I felt this when John had it fitted in his gold mini, on a grey iirc.... felt nice and light and controlable.

I may have to invest in one ..

I guess that this relies on the engine being solid mounted then? Otherwise it could be a pain.

Nice one Jim, if you could also get a picture showing how high up the pedal it bolts on that would be fantastic, as I'm trying to work out what I'm doing with my pedal box.
