Hi my name is Paul and I’ve been reading turbomins for some time now!

So, it's about time that I logged on and said hello to everyone! Plus my friend "theoneeyedlizard" has been on at me for ages to get on here.

My wheels!

Since June 07 I have been the very proud owner of a 1979 Austin Morris Mini Clubman with 38000miles, which hasn't been modified in any way! Except for a few bits that I have done (with the intension of putting back to standard) if I sell it in the future! *smiley*

Things I’ve done so far.
Spax shocks, negative camber, tie bars and high lows all round! Changed the wheels for the mini special 1100 5x10, which I got for £36 with a brand new a008! (flebay so good):)

In the garage I have a 1275GT gold seal engine and twin SU carbs. Still have to fit them!

The photos that I am trying to load show my car last year, before Stanford hall, at Stanford hall and on the way home! WATCH OUT FOR THE FOREIGN LORRIE DRIVERS!!!!!!
*evil**evil**evil**evil**evil* *indifferent**frown*

P.s. I do have two sisters! *laughing**wink*

Welcome. Did you get the car fixed up in the end?

If it makes you feel any better a BMW did the damage at the bottom of this thread to another mint car.

It happened 2 years ago now and the car has been scrapped. I couldn't transfer it too my replacement mini because it was older.

I did contact the dvla but they said that was that end of story.

Yes I remember that thread, the mini came off not too badly and it even matched the colour of the truck that hit it!

All that damage and no windows even shattered.

New wing, A panel and door skin. The rear quarter was knocked back out.

The guy that did it is superb! He restores ex-works, mk1 cooper S's. If anyone is local to Hitchin I would serously recommend him for bodywork.

Paul (wintersurfer) wouldn't use anyone else now!

The work was carried out under the insurance, but I think Paul said it was about £1500 in total.
