As most of you know, up until about 18 months ago I was selling Crank Sensor Brackets that my mate Phil was making. Due to various reasons, mainly the amount of time they were taking, he had enough of doing them and so stopped.

We put the last one on ebay with no reserve just to see how it went, and to say we have been flooded with enquiries is an understatement. This has made Phil think about it and he is now seriously considering making another run of 10 off crank sensor brackets.

We sold the ones before at £35 posted, although this seemed OK at the start, material costs went up, postage cost went up, and Phil got pissed off at basically making them for bugger all.
So if this new run goes ahead, they will be for sale at £50 posted within the UK. Machined pulleys as before will also be available to go with the brackets.

Anyone who would be interested please make it known on this thread. If 7 or 8 people are seriously interested then it will make it worth buying material in and getting started. As before they will be TIG welded stainless steel.

Im sure you'll have no probs selling them Tom!

You could even whack a load on the bay, judging by the response of your last one you sold, im sure you'll have no problems shifting them!

I'll definately have a bracket and a pulley machined, maybe two of each.

They're designed around the standard alternator. Where are you having problems with clearance?

Some pictures for those of you that don't know what they look like.

The bracket on its own is painted mild steel. The new batch that from the responses so far looks very likely to go ahead will be all stainless.

Cost for the pulleys will be £35 as before.

I'm trying to re-position it lower down so that the new (bastard!) intercooler can sit above it. The problem is, the fan belt rubs the bracket that Carl made.

To be honest, I think it'll catch either way. I just wanted to see if it would spark a new idea to get around the problem.

Cheers

One of the things that gave Phil a headache last time was people pressing for them to be ready, so all I'll say at the moment is that they will be done when they are done. With all this interest I expect he will get them underway soon though. Watch this space guys.
