Thanks for the replies.

Well this has not been without problems getting it to fit, i knew this to start with. It is proving to be a bastard. The problem is the thing is so bloody big. Ive already cut an extra inch off the dash rail and it looks like im going to have to cut an other inch off. Its fouling the steering column in the standard position with a lowering bracket. The steering wheel itself is a little close but im fitting a snap off boss and an inch spacer so the steering wheel will be 2" closer to me anyway, the seat is in a position that suits my leg length, but I have to reach for the steering wheel. No biggie really just time consuming fettling it to the right shape.

Carl, youd be surprised, the standard dash rail is made of steel and is heavy in itself, then there is the metal bracket that mounts the standard clocks. This dash is fibreglass, so its either going to be lighter or at least the same weight, im on no weight budget *tongue*

Minimadj, dont know what you mean on both counts *tongue*

Its just a standard type serial bus 4x20 display, It plugs directly into the VEMS ECU, no programing

This display is larger than the VEMS supplied item, lol it was a little small, and with the bumpy ride of the mini, focusing on the characters was a triffle difficult. I bought this one in from the US, the only place that would supply single units that size. Cost around £45

Well it now fits a treat, lol after cutting three inches off the dash rail *laughing*. The Classic Mountney flat dish steering wheel is a tad close at the top, but at least the column is at the angle I originaly set it at.

Just need to get a speedo cable and wire the instruments.

Need to order my Sparco dished steering wheel and snap off boss, im not going to bother with the spacer, the dish should be enough.

Its out the way now so i can get on with the front end rebuild, lets hope the weather holds out :)
