basically i want to run an intercooler but i have no idea what one and how to do it

all the info, tips, guides, links, suggestions will be appriciated :)

im gona sound liek such a newb but do i have to modify anything to fit it... someone told me have to modiy the plenum?

You will need to either modify the plenum yourself or speak to Gialofly or Nic for an "off the shelf" solution.

By the way, well done on the spelling of plenum. Not many people seem to get the hang of it. lol!

Bugger... There used to be a link (in Holland?) that had a big selection and showed pics and sizes, the "DIY intercooler page"

Its gone...Anyone know if its somewhere else??

so there will bea modifed bit for the dump valve and anotehr modifed bit for the intercooler on the plenum?

ah,

the plenum normaly has a pipe that points straight down toward the turbo,

the usual trick is to cut the pipe, turn it 90 deg (ish) and reweld it, then you can run pipes from the turbo, throu the intercooler and back to the plenum and into the carb.

im completly new to turbo minis...

so mechanically not that knowlegable... for the turbo part anyway lol

A few pics of my RST i/c install.

The i/c shroud, brackets and pipework are all home made.

The air intake to the i/c is via three holes in the RH side of the bonnet.

The shroud stops the air from escaping into the engine bay as it enters through the bonnet. All of it goes through the i/c to improve its effectiveness.

cheers mate... omg im so thick lol... i really cnt work out what i have to do to the plenum to fit one... my intercooler is all fitted in the car now location wise just need to get my head round where it comes off the plenun and then invest in decent pipework
