What times was it running?

nope the outlet is now fine... that was fixed on site at my last trackday!

The tank strap however decicded to un-weld itself and then pull a small hole in the tank :(

laugh if you want, but household soap (like fairy for example, not Dove!) turns rock hard when in contact with petrol...
If you have a hole, leak, gash, etc in a tank, rubbing the soap in there will turn the soap into a solid and stop the leak!!!

It worked for us around 8 years ago when i used to go off-roading with a neighbour... I did think he was taking the piss at the time though!
