Did you pull the CV up using the nut and a big flat washer, but leaving the tapered split washer out? On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:

I built up the hubs together and I'm sure the races were properly seated. Again I'll check this before ruling it out. In the 13's at last!.. Just |

I had wear on one a few years ago, the castle nut face would sit so far into the hub the split pin would lock on the castle nut.

Looking at the pics. Would that tapered washer not sit further back in comparison to the wheel/hub, if it was worn?

look at how much thread you have on each side, one sits alot futher back (the one your having problems with) than the other Drives

I think that the one that is further back is the one at fault. The split pin barely catches the castle nut.

I think this is your problem, the wear is usually on the mating face with the castle nut, swap over (from side to side) and see if the problem swaps sides? Or fit a new one lol (less work) Shane. |

Are the nuts the same length? They look different to me. Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."

I'd put the tie bar to bottom arm bolt in the other way up as well, that way if the nut comes loose and falls off the bolt won't fall out. |
