just a thought, could it be a vacuum leak anywhere, that could potentially cause a faulty signal being sent to the fpr.

Just trying to think of things that would have changed from when it was working... Same sort of thing happend to me, when I let off then put my foot back down again it would be fine. Turned out to be the hose from the plenum to the FPR was burned through as it was too close to the exhaust. Could be worth checking over mate?

mine actually had similar symptoms a couple of years ago. turned out to be the old pump not flowing enough, although it sounded ok and was producing enough pressure when i tested it at idle but couldnt match the required flow rate when driving for a while (20-30 mins).

i dont think its my guides as it dies on all 4 Mine felt like all 4 , at times I think it was all 4 but not always. What does your boost gauge do when its missing? In my case it rapidly swung between -0.6 Bar to maybe +0.2 Bar. I presume this was because the open (inlet?) valve caused blowback into the manifold. I never saw it miss at idle, it needed revs and it usually, but not always started shortly after hitting boost but went away fairly quickly. Not saying thats it but 3 things cause missing, fuel, ignition and compression.. and sticking valves are scary bad.. If you can rig up a stethoscope its real easy to hear the extra valve noise when they are sticking, if you can catch it missing with no extra noises then you can eliminate that one website:- http://www.terryhunt.co.uk
