I spent today on the frog, and it now runs :)

Had to raise the back of the bonnet, since the intercooler piping is a bit high and forces the bonnet up. Still, I've always liked that look anyway

No idea what order the leads go, or where they plug into the dizzy. The car starts, but definately isn't right. Anyone have an easy way to tell?

Set the engine to Tdc and the valves are closed on cyl 1.

Take off the dizzy cap and the rotor arm will point to number 1.

Use that as a starting point and work anti clockwise, 1,3,4,2.

Hope I remembered that correctly lol

take the rocker cover off dude, will be obvious by position of the valves.

I've never been to the RivRun in a turbo mini, even though I've had one for about 4 years.. crazy.

be careful you dont damage your wheel studs only having 1 nut on and moving the car about, at least put 2 on opposite each other mate

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

if you need some, i have some spares. Can drop them round if you want.

I'm hoping it'll be finished by Avon but we're not sure if we're going. Alex *might* come, but I won't... that heat, and camping and about 7 or 8 months pregnant!

Right, well, sorted the leads out, but it still runs quite badly. Will double check all the carb connections and what-not. Sounds like its running on 3, sort of.

chuck some new plugs in for sure mate, probably wet one with the leads being wrong.
although leave it running at a high idle and it may clear. mine did at york at easter.
