Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Thanks, happy that it is running....Was really surprised how fast it came to live...

This weekend I was driving it the first time - integral wastegate is too small; ran at 1,5bar boost by accident - I think it isn't the right boost level for breaking in a fresh engine *smiley*
I set the fuel cut off to 7000RPM, but i revs easily to that point - pulled strong from 4000 upwards....
External wategate is on the way.....

Well done, you had the same problem as me with boost creep. I tried to drill out the wastgate but it still wasn't enough. I've gone for an external one now works a treat.

You run your engine in like me, 20psi 7000rpm!

Sounds really nice

Megaview datalog showed 255kPa absolute pressure (which is by the way the maximum for the std MS II MAPsensor *smiley*) and 7440 RPM.

The Megalog Viewer is a piece of cake....

I also tried porting the integral wastegate on my last 5 porter turbo with little success (I Increased the port area by 25% which gave me 1,0 bar peak instead of 1,2bar boost peak)
Tial 38mm Wastegate is on my workbench already - a friend had one laying around. My brother will mill the flanges tomorrow....
