Looking at those bodies though, you would have thought that Issigonis, would have at least taken those sleak smooth lines onto the mini and thought of something bettter than those stupid side seams that we all ended up with On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:

Pleased and slightly embarassed that so many people seem to like it.I have had it over 25 years(Oops that given it away)Gone from concours standard spec to present in stages.Intercooler will be going on top of engine, under the bonnet louvres. To thos who think it silly or pointless - stuff you, I did it for myself. |

Its 1275 Midget with the MT bits and MT brakes,Sierra 5 speed,3.7 axle.Running adjustable bleed at 6lbs but have frightened myself at 12lbs.Live rear axle is too much unsprung weight but has custom springs adjustable shocks and a Panhard rod.Fairly soft to keep the inside wheel down on corners.Front has completely redesigned suspenders and is very stiff (fnaar, fnaar)Good fun round Castle Combe and on smooth surfaces but a bit like a pig on roller skates elsewhere.Just a toy, realising some dreams I had when I had one many years ago.Sorry if I misinterpreted the "silly" remark, I am a bit of a fossil. |
