I have been looking at the M.E.D SCCR gear kit 4 syncro. What do you guys think? Is this kit better than mini spares? or is the dog box kit the way to go?

In a nutshell; the majority of people on here who have bought s/c gearkits recently have bought the Minispares gearkits. I can't think of anyone who has bought a Minispares gearkit that has had any issues.

What more do you want than that? The consensus on here is go and buy the Minispares kit. If you want to buy something else then you'll have to decide that for yourself.

What's the problem with MED? Just wondering as I have a 1380 built by them in my Midas which must have done about 150,000 miles by now

I think toms just trying to keep the boards from being cluttered, and it also helps people find all the info in one place when searching through past posts.

regardless, it seems the minispares set is more than up to the job, cheaper, and spare parts are plentiful.

this forum is run the way it is by the people it is because, as far i can tell from my time on here, its a very close community of people who are interested in the same thing. its not one of the massive forums that can take all of the endless amounts of data stored by silly topics/post because they can afford the server, this forum is, as far as i am aware, basically paid for by its members and so we seem to have more a feel for saving space and helping the site to run better for less money. This also makes alex's life alot easier as he is not constanlty having to update stuff.

One last thing is that alot of people on here including myself will search for the infomation as its actually alot faster than waiting for a reply to a thread that has been covered endless times and so when we search if there is less threads about the same thing it makes our life alot easier sorting through it all.
