My moneys on my car too. Although an a circuit I'd be out of fuel after one lap and the tyres would be shot, and on the les tight circuits I'd run out of gears.

My car is built to completely different and less stringent regs, meaning I have more power and theoretically equal handling and grip.

Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

It all depends on the test. 1/4 mile, our car. hillclimb, or car. Race track 50/50 depending on race track. But as Wil says, we dont have the fuel or the radiator to manage more than a few laps.

Cant see the Mig having a chance tbh we got a Mig class care here and we put a new motor in straight away, the Mig is very class restricted imo when I striped the box, I had to change the gear set a the ratios where very long and the diff was quite short turbo motors don’t tend to compare to N/A especially the likes of the twins motor :lol

Well, they just made them slower in 2006 *wink* No 1,5 rockers, narrower rims and single adjustable dampers etc. On a track the Miglia would absolutely kill the Twini I've seen pictures and videos of their car *wink*

No Doubt Wil and bens motor would be quicker, but they are chalk and cheese.

What do you think they should change??

They are trying to keep the cost of racing down. Thats why they went away from 1.5 rockers, to make them more reliable, so keep cost down.

A couple of years ago I would have agreed. The car did not handle well and looked dreadful. However, these days it is much better and I would say almost a match for a mig, handling wise.

Why change the rules for the migs, everyone is on an even footing and the racing is exciting. There's no point in just trying to make them faster and faster, all the the faster race cars are fairly boring to watch.

I really can't see how you can compare two very different cars....built for two different purposes. Don't mean to be a kill joy. Like comparing a Rally car with its circuit racing variant.

Seen A Mig do 14.6 1/4 mile, cant remember his name annoyingly but it was a good one.
He died a few years back while driving his race car.

Paul

I seriously doubt it!

Yes Higgins, we used to hillclimb with him.

I have no doubt that all of the fastest hillclimb minis in the country will do a 1/4 mile faster than a mig, its a simple power to weight ratio, migs are heavier and have less CCs.

tbh, I'm not too sure the point of this thread, but surely, wil and bens car would be faster (until it ran out of legs) as its lighter and more powerful?
