Hello,

I have just bought a Maniflow turbo downpipe, link pipe and rear single box 2" system, so in some respects my question asking now is somewhat flawed, but anyway lol i suppose i could always return it!

The question is simple, am i better with this system running a 1293 turbo engine and dont know whether to keep the exisiting playmini back box which has a slightly larger tailpipe, surely im right going for the maniflow system?!

Cheers!

tail pipe is basically for looks and i wouldnt say it would make much difference. a 2.5" system with a 3" tail pipe will flow near enough the same as a 2.5" system with a 2.5" tailpipe.

i think i would be right in saying that....

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

the single maniflow back box is a no no
i had on on the benross machine and it killed it *frown*

it only flows well up to 120bhp then it strangles the flow somewhat

a large bore play mini back box is the one to go for ..... trust me *Yes* *wink* *wink*

WHy is that Ben? A 2" pipe with e free flowing box will not flow less if it's called Maniflow or not.

V i fitted a 2" maniflow to my motor
My son was at the back and he saw a large circular swirling 5ft cloud of fumes
Under 16psi of boost

This suggested to me that the engine was been choked after designing and having made my own back box the car was soooo much better *happy*

having researched and found out the 2" maniflow only flowed enough with no restriction for 120BHP

heres my design

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

The Miglia exhausts are rubbish. If you fit these you don't know what you're doing or why.

steve, could there be another explaination? maybe damage or a blockage?

i can pretty much see right through my 2" maniflow backbox, so dont understand what there is to restrict the flow?

Not at all. Miglia Exhaust as that way because they HAVE yo use a specific Rover silencer. If they had the choice, they'd use something completely different!
