just thought i would post a recent pic,
see what you think.

its about finished on the outside now apart from the front number plate
any ideas what to do with it?
might just get a sticker.

I think that peeps are right suggesting mk2 lights. I think it would also look the nuts on 10's

As people have said, Mk2 lights. I reckon a carbon bootlid, lowered and some fat arches/wheels would be p-i-m-p

Whats the engine spec?

yeah its tahiti blue, will have a think about the rear lights.
10s are definatly on the cards for the future when i upgrade the brakes,

its got hi lows on but it already scrubs the arches! and gaz shocks. so any ideas with that one?

the engine:
1330 turbo, high lift cam, big valves, alloy flywheel, cossie intercooler, playmini exhaust system, maniflow down pipe.
so its got a bit of kick *happy*
havnt quite got the boost and fueling sorted yet
but it runs sweet at standard boost and does run ok at 12psi for a bit but after a while it starts jurking and stalling
so dont know about that either.

i havnt changed anything in the carb yet so need to look at that.

I guess theyre adjustable shocks? If they are just make them stiffer and lower the car to the height, altering the stiffness as you go. More trial and error really!

just cable tie a proper plate on when you put it in.

beware...you can get pulled for it if the mobile camera's dont pick up the number plate. or if the poilce manofficer (watching hot fuzz the other night) is clever enough.

Heres an idea i think looks fantastic if its done right. I can tell the project has had a lot of time spent on it so spend a bit of time and shape the numberplate round the edges to the shape of the letters or numbers. I think as long as you leave 10mm of white round the edge its legal. It just makes the plate look less obtrusive then mount it to your front vallance with some stainless brackets or such like.

tried to make some brackets that bolt onto the subframe unsuccessfully.
they do look ace when done like that

will just get a sticker, mots arnt a problem.

what year is h reg, black and silver is only legal before 1971, i had some on for 2 hours and got pulled annoyingly.

will try lowering it.

any idea what sort of power output i could expect when i get the engine running properly?

Hard to say on power output! Is there any gearbox modifications? If theres sc drops and at least a hardened diff pin then I guess you could run some decent boost through it!!

At around 12 psi i reckon the output will be around 150bhp ish? Not sure what spec cam you have but the rest of the engine spec seems pretty good!

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.
