Great Weekend.

Most memorable moments:

Best Race
Paul Wigington versus Paul Webster in the 1320autos Bini. Big burnout from Webster, whilst Wigington patiently waits. Webster hurtles off the line. Wigington gives him a half second advantage and then wipes the floor with him! The crowd actually cheared.

Biggest Shock
The Fentonator standing in the queue for a healthy jacket spud. Short lived however as five minutes later I saw him with a burger in his hand!

Best Performance
Starmag - Hopefully he will tell his own story.

Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."
Stephen Hawking - "The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge."

Had a great weekend, apart from the rain waking me up at 5:30 lol

Finally got a chance to put some names to faces, and spoke to Tom very briefly before he ran the DON out on to the track. (I was the one in a green t-shirt with palm trees on it Tom *tongue* )

Good to see plenty of turbo set ups on the track today.

Was there much racing yesterday? Didn't get there till late.

It was another good showing from TM. Good to see Tom, Carl, Phil & his mates (minds gone blank) again at the traditional JF drink venue!
Finally met up with Matt & Nic....Top lads. Came home with lots of parts! All in all a good weekend and no rain Sunday!
Cheers Phil & Joe for the bits. :)

Edit....I'm sure the lass getting the cars to their lines was winking at me threw those sunglasses!

Enjoyed the weekend, spent a massive £1:50 on new pedal rubbers so a bit skint now. Always good to meet more peeps off here, also well done to starmag. Could not believe it when no one battered an eyelid at his time, dont think anyone really knew what an achievment it was!

Was a good weekend. Somehow me and JohnK and the rest of specialist components managed to win the Mini quiz last night whilst half cut then proceeded to try and recite the italian job instead of watching it.

After returning to the hotel, the fire alarm went off at 3.30am! Had a good time and saw loads of you there, just gutted i didn't manage to get the engine done and in.

It will be done soon!!!!

Good weekend as always. Thanks must go to JF for saving me & my crazy mates from the muddy camping & letting us crash at Flannigan Towers ! Cheers John ! :)
Met many of the usual faces & loads of new ones. Pity my car couldn't be there as it's only missed one MITP in 9 years, but i'll make it next year.

Well looks like my tubro has shit itself! *oh well*! I managde a 15.1 with a 97mph terminal on 6psi. By the time I got home I couldn't get much more than 3psi out of it!

Still beat everything I went up against though! lol

Drive home was a good laugh!

i would have made a run but i dident want to rev past 4 and a half grand as the engine is still being run in.

but i got a nice suprise. the engine that i thought was a standard 1275 just rebuilt and had the block skimmed appears to have something like a 286 cam in it.

annoying though as it doesnt hit the power band untill 3750 but i change up at 4500.

i love long duration cams :) im certainly going to build my long stroke turbo with one, i dont mind about not being able to go through town in third ect.

unfortunately i dident manage to speak to anyone from here.
