What would be the point of it? I can't see a market that would support such a project.

There will be no market for that. Migs, sevens, historics etc have to run a std configuration box so the only people to buy it would be road goers and Im sure it would be too expensive just like the Mike Barratt sequential box.

Still sounds bollocks to me

Paul

I seriously doubt it!

I've seen a system like this, simply it is a pair of line lock valves, for the brake and clutch. Get to the start line, hold down brake and clutch, press a button, this keeps them "down" for you, then set your revs, when you want to go release the button, the brakes are released, and the clutch is released, through a throttle valve so that it does to a degree "feed" it in.

No computer involved.
Not made by Quaife.
No sensors either.
No new engine mounts required.
No bulkhead mods.
Just two solenoid valves, one with a throttling valve on it.

Oh and it could work with any gearbox you see fit from standard helical to straight cut dog engagement.

Sounds like a Chinese whisper. Some one heard something and interpreted it as something else then told some one who interpreted it as something else.

Probibly talking about the Quaife Dogbox, or perhaps the Swifty box, which is also Quaife

Would I be right in thinking John Haston has this fitted to his Mini Sprint?
