Rear camber brackets

From reading other posts the minispares rear camber brackets seem to be the most commonly used but there seems to be issues with quality, is this still the case? I went to mini spares today and they're out of stock and wouldn't give me a delivery date, so not too sure what other options I have?

The KAD brackets seem to be going for twice the price, but seems a little steap for what they are. Has anyone tried the min-its or minisport ones with any success?

i have some rear camber brackets ready to fit to mine, no idea who made them though, are there and identifying marks companys use on them?

the KAD ones are much beefier and have never been broken yet by anyone in the mighty mini series.

But as you say the cost is quite a bit more... the 2nd most used type is the mini spares ones, but they have been known to break under race conditions.

I have fitted both sets, the KAD ones fitted straight away no problems, Both sets of MS ones I've fitted needed filing of the holes to get them fitted to the subframe.

I had to file my minispares ones when i fitted them to a subframe ive never fitted

Ive heard of people geting them set up and then welding them up-obviously then you can never adjust them again

Hmmm decisions decision?? Do you still need these brackets with a beam?

those minispares ones are the ones me and anton have fitted dude. other than the filing of the holes to fit we've not had any problems with em.

for some reason they sell similar ones that only do camber and need shimming for toe.

i got mine as part of the kit they do which is great value, rear camber/toe brackets, adjustable bottom arms and tie bars for £100.

Actually, my MS ones are ages old so yeah the new ones might have toe adjustment without shims. Those KAD ones do look nice though.

with a beam on you cant comfortably stand up matt..... oohh oops sorry misunderstood ..
um , the beam comes with adjustable camber ,but for toe in i made some shims from an old oil can i think .they slide under the inner mounting.as is the beam had substantial toe out .. no wonder they get a rep for bad handling set up like that .

The KAD ones are much nicer, but I still needed to get the file out on them to give me the adjustement I wanted.

My KAD ones also moved (toe changed) but it was in extreme circumstances. Not moved in 'normal' use (i.e. 7" slicks and high cornering speeds).

Matty which store did you go to? The camber and tracking brackets are now in stock, if you ever want to know just send me a PM.

the kad ones are great,

I have mionisport ones and they are a similar design to the kads but not as well made, still pretty good though, but you may need to trim/file the square ajustment plate to get enough adjustment. but at half the price of kads they are pretty good value.

I had to mutilate the minispares ones to get them to fit - i'm still not happy with the way they are fitted to the car so will be changing them.

John-k. I spoke to you at mitp, where you had some very tasty rear brackets on display.

If I recall correctly you only sold them as part of a kit. Please correct me if I am wrong. If i'm right please sell them seperately from the kit. I will be the first to order a pair.
