As most of you will know, I was made redundant from Aston Martin a while ago after 18 years of panel beating.
Well im now a sole trader freelance panel beater/fabricator (and doing well). I have access to all manner of panel equipment and am looking at producing for sale:
Mark 1 and 3 doorskins from 1.2mm NS3H4 aluminium,
Mark 1 and 3 doorframes again from 1.2mm NS3H4,
Bootlid skins,
possibly even front wings.
Because the skins are of a good quality material they dont dent so easy.
Im able to fabricate header tanks, catch tanks, radiators and so on to peoples own designs.
Because I rent a section of a workshop the overheads are lower allowing me to pass the savings to the customer.
There are more products currently on the drawing board too.
Life is good

Paul

I seriously doubt it!

A MK1 boot skin, I think, is going to work out around £150, a header tank for example will start at around £50 for a simple one but could go right up to £200 if really elaborate. Jigs for the doors are still being made so the prices for the panels will depend on the final price of them.
