Been away for a while after i sold the metro but ive been working on this and its starting to come together so heres some pics! mk1 fiesta + m45 + stroked x-flow. Sorry its not an A-series but ive got my eye on a Ital for the next project so will be back in the fold!

Nice work there, i would love to have the time and inclination to do a project like that. But work is keeping me seriously busy at the moment and the last thing i want to be doing after building race cars for 12 hours is to do work on my car.

I am racking my brains now for the a cool retro car project to do in a similar style.

Questions :
Stroked x-flow, what capacity are we talking about ?

(Stroking + flat head) x blowing = massive dish in the pistons
=> how did you do that

In the plenum, I might not have seen it correctly but I have the feeling the inlet tract starts with a 90° angle, no stub stack style stuff, isn't it gonna cost bananas ?

Isn't this engine gonna be injected ?
There is no risk retrofittings the injectors on htose lovely inlet tracts ?

It will work out about about 1790cc ish nearly 1800

First off im not going for low compression, i might run short rods but then again i dont want to unless i have to as they mess the geometry up. The pistons are pretty hefty so theres loads of scope for taking the dish out and they will need some big valve pockets in them anyway. Im not too sure how its going to work out yet but im confident i can do it. If i cant then il just do a chambered head :)

the plenum will have bolt on trumpets in it (DCNF 40 ones incidently) ive not gotten aroudn to drilling the holes to fit them yet.

Yes its going to be injected, im not really sure what you mean tho?? the injector bosses are the next bit too add. The plenumn isnt joined to the inlet runners yet if thats what you mean

Yeh all myself, my dad did a little bit of the welding, im getting the hang of it now but some bits are easier if your left handed so i let him do those.

I might need someone to knock up a rad, the one in there is fucked, im just using it to fill the gap. i bought the chargecooler too athough its getting modifications. You think 5.5"x5.5"x3" core is big enough?
