I have some sores on my Finger and it seems to coinside with working on the car (oil/grease)

Anyone know what they are?

I can squeeze them but they ooze if i do this, they feel like they have tiny pieces of glass inside. (which they dont) It always seems to be my index and middle finger .

They go away after a while but will re appear.

are they like small round bubbles containing clearish liquid? really itchy?

if so sounds like an alergy to oil/grease.

try using arrier cream if you don't already and use E45 cream after you've been doing stuff.

I get these.

No idea what they are either, but they do go away with time.

I had/have, pop the little buggers, will be sore for about 2 days, then will clear it up. wear gloves in future

I have the same thing and the doctors are shit. Been 5 times and nobody has any clue how to fix it. Mine is worse in the winter, but shit all year round. started when I started working on the frog about 4 years ago, and has never gone away.

I never had it until i got my last mini, and i then had it within a week, almost as if i caught it from the fucker!!

mine is spreading too :( started off on just one knuckle, and now is all the fingers on one hand and 2 on the other.

I've not touched a car in about six months, so it's not a glove issue. I reckon it's some sort of infection?

You could be allergic to Euxyl K 400
(it´s a preservative used in many products barrier creams, sunscreens etc etc)

I have had this come up in the past 3 or so months where ive been building/putting my engine in and general stuff on my car. Mines been really really bad actually, I had to wrap my fingers in plasters while at work because the skin was cracking and it was fruiting painfull!

I dont think the cold helps at all, but even sweat in plastic gloves sent the sores apeshit, like little pimples like you describe but really sensitive, between my fingers, all of it on my left hand which I use most. Its spread from between my fingers to the tops of my knuckles and now my wrists but the doctors said its excema (sp?), but im pretty sure its not.

I've tried Savlon, E45 dries it out really quickly which in turn makes new cracks before i get a chance to put more on.

I've not done any work on the car in about 2 weeks, mainly because its cold and I actually cant bear having this shit on my hands, i've given it a chance to go completely and alas my hands are clear at the moment.

But when I get out the shower, all the areas on my hands/wrists that have been sore go really red until I put some moistureising cream on them.

The doctor was a joke, she seem offended when I actually insisted it wasn't excema so it fealt like I was on my own abit, it seems not!

I reccomend using non perfumed/completely plain (but not the cheap stuff) soap as opposed to shower gell or hand wash, as I switched to some plain stuff and its really really helped. The doc perscribed me some diprobase which is all over body cream/moisturising stuff and thats helped too.

I believe its worse in winter

I changed soaps and its not so bad


ps my tight ass friend caught some skin disease after dumping a load of builders sand in some cheap soap instead of buying a quality dirt removing handwash

its already been said a fair few times but it does sound like dermititis.

i never use hard wash soap, instead i cover my hands in vegetable oil (the stuff you have in the friyng pan)… oil and dirt dissolves and my hands are like a baby!

For you lot who have been to the docs and feel you have no improvement, go back and ask to get refered to a specialist at the hospital.

I did this with some stuff on my feet, GP didn't know, dermatologist knew straight away. Prescribed the right thing and it was gone very quickyl.

My missus is a doctor, so i get good advice.
