sick as fek with this hunk of crap !!! is it just me or do Golfs all have issues with electrics ? i have many issues with mine, thought it was a one off, but i had cause to gain entry to a recent fourmotion which had issues with the door mechanisms ie would not unlock !

two of my mates have mk3 golfs, they have issues with electic windows and one has tempromental cental locking. On 7th Oct, 2010 5haneJ said:

ahh yes forgot to mention that the shite pneumatic system they have sometimes the doors dont unlock and your stood there like a full on cock ! i fucking hate this car if it wasnt for the fact i have no money, and she does 35 mpg i would burn it

you would think ze garmins have done this to us on purpose maybe it is theyre way of getting back at us for building more tanks that were easy to service than them during WW2 ?

They most definately do it on purpose. Working on VAGs just enfuriates me. There are so many occasions where I can see a much simpler solution to assembly but they do it the awkward way. Oh, and have you ever done an airfilter on a Beemer 320d? Or a 320i coupe. Fucking pain in the knackers.

yeah its when i read the haynes book and its "if you have engine with the following code AAA, ABB, OES, FBB, DIK, WAK, COK please refer to another section.

Took a lump out of my hand doing the same thing. There's a nice pointless sharp metal bracket just behind the passenger side head light (RHD). Well thought out VW.

I always liked my Mk3 Golf - only problem I had was with the boot lock which didn't work with the key because the lock was gummed up - wasn't realy an issue as the central locking took care of things.
