IMPORTANT UPDATE - Castle Combe Action Day - October 9th - Club stand

Ok, iain has had the application through from castle combe for having a club display section, and we now need some definite "yes's" of anyone that wants to be on the stand by the end of tomorrow (friday) as we need to inform Combe of the number of cars.

Iain will be sending the application form off first thing on saturday morning.

I also need a brief description of your car.

Hopefully if we get a few there this year we can be more organised for next year and get a good stand sorted.

you can put me down if you want? i'm going anyway with minifinity so i can chuck my car with the all the turbo's if thats cool?

it's a 91 J reg cooper. red/white, 10x6 revo's, 1293 turbo, etc.

On the form it said you need to book a month in advance but i explained what day it was for and they sent the form so guess they've still got plenty of space.

Should be good. Atleast its a meeting point!

I've crashed stands before LOL its just somewhere to meet up unless your going for a themed stand and a prize,

Put my name down please! it'll be good having a few turbos together and i was planning on going anyway.

my minis a 1975 almond green mk3, 1293 turbo, 13x6 superlites, corbeaus, cage etc...
she is starting to get a little tatty in her old age but im guessing its good to have the turbos together anyway, as long as no one minds! :)

Ive sent the form off for 9 cars. We'll just have to see what happens. Definately have one next year as well. Be a bit more organised next year though!

Right, i have recieved this morning some free entrance passes to those people who wanted to join the stand. Its for one car and one person.

I have 7 remaining after I have taken the ones for myself and Dan.

People who offered to go on the stand earlier in the post have first refusal then its a free for all. You must have a turbo mini though and also be willing to have the car on the stand. There is a prize for the best club stand so if anybody has any ideas let me know.
Ill try to get a banner sorted but doubt ill have time, anybody else in that sort of business at all?

PM with your addys as i will have to put them in the post asap.

Having ran club for 5 years this best club stand lark is for the true spotters IMO.

Just getting a collection of cars together is enoungh effort for starters.

I will be there on another clubs stand that was arranged month ago.

Be nice to have some sort of banner saying what or who we are though. maybe ill get some A3 signs printed off to put in each windscreen of the displayed cars.

Right ive now sent out passes to the 5 people who pm'd me. Please check you have 2 passes, one for the car and one that says car and driver on it.

Still have space for 2 more cars if anybody is interested
