probably, would be easier to break into, but really, there for the race track, and when my cars not in the garage i'm no more than 30 feet away!!! I think i will give them a good polish,

I'm learning all the time, just have to make sure the other ones the same! I'll weigh the other one tonight hopefully!!!

Good effort. Do away with the lock barrel all together. Get a piece of alu' thats an interference fit and stick it in there. You could even put a slot in it so it looks like a lock

the only issue i can think of this this is water ingress into the locking mech (if your keeping it)

other than that, 10/10!

Thats mine drilled to f"*k to.

The guy who i use for powder coating say's that he's never seen so much stuff drilled to bits. wait till he see's these. lol.

So how would you go polishing them? 360 800 1200? then on a polishing wheel? what standard to i need to anodise them?

on a bit polishing machine,lol,

A bit more progress....



Took pauls advice and slid a 1/2 inch bung in the lock barrell hole. looks, ok, i'll drop a tab of weld to stop it falling out.

what standard does anodize need to be?

you'd probably get away with anodising on the emery finish

Are original handles solid steel chromed?
Brushed anodised finish would look nnice.
