Steering racks!

Clevis pins are easy, just take out the passenger seat then use a good "R" clip in place of the split pin.

Horndean - Near Portsmouth

Yeah clevis pins are a fruiting nightmare, especially when the brake pin falls out and down a open footwell hole when youre driving on a test run, uncool!

That and shear bolts on the steering column from standard.

As Jon says replace the split pins with "R" clips I've done this on both the Minis and the Midget and it makes every thing so much easier.

I hate speedo cables on the Minis although I won't be fitting one to the clubby :)

Also front suspension cones can be a pig.

Couple of hideous jobs on the Midget mind: clutch slave cylinder the clearance for the one of the bolts is about 1 thou bigger than the bolt. Also the lower rad hose is a bitch to fit as it's so small it doesn't flex.

Clevis pin is no fun when some wanker has re-used a bent old split pin & it jams in there. Struggled for 45 minutes before thinking of the Dremel & cutting the split pin off flush.
