I think around 550Kg. (proably a bit more)

But the tank only holds 4 litres.

should be interesting at "just over 500 " , when the rest of us with stripped out carbon fibred , fuck all in cars are at 560/570 kg .
But then again were all here to be proven wrong again.

It's certinally possible. I could still lose some weight off mine. I could save 2-3 kgs per wheel by changing to propper racing ones. I still have steel rear drums and really heavy radius arms too.

mine is 565 kgs, with around 4 gallons of fuel. I can't see how I could make mine much lighter, although I do have a lot of cage in mine, it's all thin wall t45, I have ally radius arms, and kad rear disks and ally calipers. Ally calipers at the front, and carbon door, front end, bonnet, boot lid, boot floor, dash etc. My wheel are force split rims, which are only a few grams heavier than mb's. There are some things on my car which need to stay, as my car will have an MOT on it soon, and not from a mate in the pub.

Tim, what will your new car be used for? what do you plan todo to get it so light?

I agree, It's my ultimate target too.

My 550kgs is an estimate only. last time it was weighed it was 590kg but I have taken out 30+ kilos since then. Maybe I should get it weighed properly again (and probably be dissapointed).

Yes I remember this. The guy had put his block on a milling machine and milled off excess cast iron from the surfaces of the block........
