I got this yesterday at Combe, never seen one before but will be going on my clubby, can you guess what it is.

Yes, the pre A plus engines have a sleeve arrangement where the dizzy drive fits (unlike the fork clamp on A plus engines) and if you took the sleeve out, something that shape would be a perfect fit - but obviously larger...

You could be on to something there Colin - would certainly be worth having a go with - as long as your speedo was adjustable enough, which most aftermarket electronic ones would be I would imagine, then I reckon you could get that working well.
