Yo, just a quick update to the below - This will happen sometime this week. (week starting the 12th of Oct)

We're doing it in a two stage process. First step is just moving the site over to the new server. This should at least stop it falling over.

Second stage, is re-writing the forum. This should really speed things up, but its not a quick process - expect it in a month or so.

Most likely his cached dns records are out of date.

On his home computer he could try ipconfig /flushdns

If he is on a work computer then he may have to wait a while longer unless he wants to temporarity edit his hosts file like I have.
