so jobs are, rebush primary gear, uprate to double grey, breeze over the hog box ( but should be ok just new layshaft bearings i hope|). and a genral tidy up, oh and get that bloody smiths rev counter to work god thats annoying, tried every thing to date and still dont work right of the mega jolt.

so what is every ones elses list for the winter

always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas

Mine is an engine rebuild. Not sure what I'm doing yet though.

:( still got loads to do on mine, I've finally removed all traces of underseal!!! Took me so so long.

Winter jobs for me normally consist of gathering parts - fingers crossed I can get the final few brackets and welding done ready for shell to be shotblasted early next year.

Probably won't happen but that's what I'm planning.

My list is something along the lines of

Rebuild engine to a spec that will take 8000 rpm
Fit rear beam axel and coilovers
rust proof the thing
replace bonnet, bootlid, and roof with fibreglass items
Have the car rolling roaded, have fun with it
Break the engine
Get fed up and install spare vtec engine I have lying about.

Put me feet up for a change. Enjoy Christmas and the new year. Do the minimum amount of work.

For me, winter will be about trying to re-coup my lost 20 odd nanas at the TM RR day last month then take it back to the Pod for some beans !

I've just re-fitted my original 9 psi Cossie actuator, done away with all the Tee fittings for the boost lines and drilled individual manifold tappings instead, re-read the boost controller instructions for the umpteenth time and reprogrammed that, and now have the Megasquirt ignition fully sorted and firing on all four.

So, once I've spent some time mapping, I'm back off to Northampton Motorsport for some more hours on the dyno followed by some 1/4 mile practice.

High hopes this time !

Plus lots of DIY and painting work on me Mum's cottage getting it ready to sell in the spring.

Richard.

Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

Well, I've just finished the bi-yearly service on my trailer (re-packing bearings, checking chassis, brakes, etc). Next job is reuilding the engine in the discovery, then moving house.

Guess which I'm not looking forwards to....
