Buy a few spare sets of rings and wait until they start going cheap because rings aren't available. Bugger off, I'm getting there. |

As I understand, the MiniSpares 'MEGA' ringsets are identical to the omega ringsets...

They have got a strange deal going with Steve whitton of med. Supposedly he's the only source for mini stuff for omega and that was from the horses mouth at omega. I said i wouldn't deal with him as i find him a tw*t, but no good.

Shouldn't really be any major big advantage in pistons made by F1 Engine maker(i just happen to get on with the guy responsible for piston manufacture there). But the guys from these manufacturers should really know what they are doing when it comes to piston design. Also they have bang upto date information on materials etc. So the end result should be a piston thats the muts nuts for us.

Mirage is right.MED are making it extremely hard for anyone to get Omega pistons. We have been on the phone to omega loads in the past few weeks to get this whole thing sorted.

Just got some fantastic +020 pistons from OAP. Not cheap (get what u pay 4). Short crown height. Dial in comp ratio u want with deck height. They weigh 290g with rings and pin |

Short crown height?? Then we're back to the squish-question. Obviously, a piston with a proper deck height and bigger dish would be better.

I would NEVER be bothered about squish on a forced induction engine.

If MED were not such arses about suppliying traders with Omega pistons there would never have been this "Flood" of new pistons to choose from,
