My original plan was to use the original MEMs ECM to run the Eaton M45 - but as was pointed out on this very site - it didn't happen.

There ain't no excessive petrol smell, but the plugs very sooty. The Vmax kit came with a pressure regulator - but do you think the standard pump is up to the job? If you are using Wasted Spark coilpack with your ECU, it's worth fitting a 20 microfarad capacitor off a Ford coilpack to prevent misfiring.
Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

Lots of info on fitting the capacitor at: www.extraefi.co.uk Good luck Richard. Hmmmm, that's interesting - I'll have a good look at the recommended site and see what it says. Ok, had another attempt at getting the Mini running and I can't even get it started. I'm starting to get seriously pissed off with this - but I know it will be worthwhile once up and running.

If the two graphs are the same orientation one shows throttle rising from the bottom left while the other shows throttle falling towards the bottom left. That in itself is a problem? Edited by Sprocket on 17th Jan, 2010. On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:

I agree with Joe about the lumpy map at idle. I'd also have a look at smoothing the rest of the ignition map aswell tbh.
