Hi guys,

I'm a student so I don't have super much money.
I want I nice driveble mini turbo.

The following thinks that I already got:
NEW
- Fully new rebuild garret t3 turbo from turbo technis with exhaust manifold and downpipe
- Fullt standard rebuild gearbox with 3.1 diff.
- Ultralite flywheel Pre-verto with verto starter ring.
- Normal clutch plate and diaphram
- 1.5 roller rockers
- sw5 cam with followers and oilpump and duplec timing gear
- road valve spring 180Lb
OLD
- Standard 1275 engine block with pistons and crank (cam6581)
- Standard Turbo head.

What do I need to do.

I'm cnc machinist so I can make some parts selfs

Thank you

if your a machinist then i recon you wont go wrong oil feeding the thrust bearings to counter a heavy clutch.

also the fuel pump you will need is any fuel injection pump, idealy an external type pump from an mpi car, spi will do the job but wont flow enought if you go bonkers with boost *happy*

make sure you're brakes are in a good condition.

maybe a lambda would be a good idea.

there is nothing wrong with a A-series that a turbo can't fix.

Hi guys,

My lst is not complete.
I also got the following things.
A hiff 44 turbo with manifold and plenium.
SPI Tank and I got also an other fuel pump from Facet. Witch I have to look.
I've got also vented minisport brakes.

So you say that I need new pistons (omega 10cc dish) Wherefrom? MED, Avonbar, Morspeed
Intercooler, Can I get from scrapyard but from witch car?
So drill holes to trustbearings for a heavy clutch.

Can someone make me a list what I have to change?

- Rebore to 1293 cc
- centre mainstrap
- New bearings?
- Surface grinding bloack and head
- Intercooler
- New pistons

Maybe a new head?

I'd use the standard ones as long as the rings / bore are ok.

The compression ratio is the important part when sizing the piston dish. For 12 to 15psi I'd aim for 8.4:1 ish. A 2wd cosworth intercooler seems to be one of the favourites on here, and works/fits in well.

A standard head with good quality valves and guides, will be fine. You may want to enlarge the size of the chambers get lower the compression ration (all dependant on piston choice and bore size).

Personally I wouldn't go for a double grey clutch, especially for road use! You're better off using a single grey or go for a RTS clutch (if you search for RTS all should become clear).

Personally I would replace all bearings, and get the blcok and head refaced while you're at it. You may aswell make sure evrything is spot on whilst its apart. *wink*

I would suggest avoiding Morspeed.

My personal choice would be the 10cc omega's from MED

Shropshire.

As John says the omega's get my vote too

Why on earth will he need a double grey Ben?
A properly setup grey will take 170 Baldwin Bananas with the torque to go along 14psi...

Why not use the Metro turbo pistons you already have? They will be fine at your proposed boost as long as you have a sensible CR and efficient intercooler.

Spend the cash saved on a modern turbo instead.
