Too far for me Andreas, although I do love Bavaria. Was posted there as a Graduate for 4 months in Munich.

Absolutely top place. Will be great in May.

Maybe next time.

Hope everyone going has a fab time.

Richard.

Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

I am tempted!

Depends when it is, and whether the new engine will have proved itself

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

or you could just take one car like every one else Carl!!

I've not thought about it, but would be nice as there are always nice places to be.

Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph
First 5 port miniturbo to make over 200 bhp on a carb?

Just take the Twini (or The DON if you are still trying to sell it) and a great van of shiny titanium things to sell *smiley*

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

In actual fact Carl, when Phil and I took the 205 to the 'ring, the ferry wasn't terrible cost wise.

No, what I mean is that it is Jackmans engine. I built it. so in a lack of ownership way, it was my engine. Cooked within 3000 miles lol, but shit happens. Poor chap, took him another couple of days to get trailered home.

Just remember, In certain parts of Germany, they sell 92 unleaded!!

ahh i see, i think i remember now, quite unfortunate!!

what the average fuel rating they have over there then? i guess just off highways there should be too much problems with octain.

looking forward to it anyway being a bit risky though i dont know my uni' exam time table yet and im leaving on the 20th, still possibility of an exam falling in the 2 days im abroad

Twas my engine, a sprocket build 1293 *happy*

Average fuel was 92, it was easily bought, there was 95 in most places too as long as it was one of the commercial types.

Never going to europe again without octane booster.

Yes, but in most places 91 octane fuels are being phase out and the lowest you can get is 95 (RON, or 'ROZ' in germany). Demand for low octane fuel is too low...

'Normal' was the old 91 octane fuel,
'Super' was and is 95 octane,
'Super Plus' is 98 octane plus.
+ all the expensive v-power 100+ octane fuels...

However, in France they apparently sell fuel with a high content of ethanol, which might cause damage to the fuel system!! It's advised to use only 98+ octane fuel with older cars!

Cheers,
Jan

I always use the most high-octane number as possible. Normaly it is Shell V-Power 100+
