right boys bit of a random one but ive decided seeing as i have to keep borrowing the mrs car everytime the minis off the road..which is often :) and as im a sucka for some oldskool bmx action i thought id look into either building one up from a frame or getting an old knackered one in need of some good TLC.
ive been out of the bike scene for a long time so im abit short of knoweldge on decent frames, doesnt have to be an amzing frame as its just to mess about on.., and ebay is FULL of fames etc..itd be good to proper old skool and get another GT dyno like i had when i was 16 :)
so if anyone has anything laying around collecting dust. and wants to sell it....or has some pointers of some half decent frames etc to look out for thatd be great.
oh im pretty tall so needs to be decent size frame...24" pref

you'd be looking at more of an old skool cruiser. bmx frames only went up to 21 inch top tube. old skool bmxs are cool tho *happy* good look with the search.

ok nice one mate...i do prefer the look of the classic 21'frame bmx, to the 24' cruiser but id prob fit on the cruiser better.

saying that i used to run a bent seat post on the last one i had and it gave me a decent amount of extra space so im well up or a 21' frame aswell

LOL Back in the day I worked all summer for 50p an hour to save up for one. Never did manage it!

Talking about anoraks I was watching Tele last night and discovered there was such a thing as Pylon spotting.

Pylon appreciation society. http://www.pylons.org/

It made me fall of my chair *wink*

im a bmxer, just a new school one, i ride a 2009 Fit str1 complete breakless frame (see attached) love riding so much freedom! and being a street rider you can go anywere and always find something to ride. i used to ride park but the othwer riders turned to weed and turned into d**ks, so turned to street. as to the original question im no hope as ive not had to buy any new parts recentley, only new tyres, tubes and punny kits. one piece of advice is get a frame that can have breaks, my mistake was to get the breakless frame and in less than a year ive been through 5 tyres on the rear and one on the front( front has only just gone) god no's how many puncture repair patches and inner tubes, and around 3 pairs of trianers.
