Me and the g/f were just discussing if labour would do any better if that one eyed Scottish idiot wasn't leading them? |

The bit I do not like is the mainstream alternative. From having heard behind the scenes feedback of how the Conservative leaders speak of the general public I was appauled and certainly would not vote for them.

General consensus is currently showing that its a choice of two and one of them is not Labour. That leves you the general public a clear cut choice. one or the other lol

The problem is that if you are set on not voting labour then everything you hear come out of Gordons mouth you don't like. I like to think I watched the debate with an open mind and over all there was nothing between them. I liked a lot of what Nick said, apart from the trident stuff. But also Gordo and Dave had some interesting stuff.

It would not be fair of me to reveal all, but I have heard first hand of someone who for whatever reason spent a weekend in the company of the Conservative leader and some of his closest allies, and the way they talked about the general public as plebs etc has just reinforced my opinion that the party in general, despite what they may claim, have absolutely no interest in the plight of the working people.

I dread the idea of the Tories winning the election. I voted Labor before but I'm fed up with Brown. ZOMG I might be voting for Cle... unless, is there a Jedi Knight party? |

But do you really think Brown, Clegg, or any politician at that level is any different ??? They all only have their own "careers", political survival and future cash in mind, not us. Mandleson's move to the EU then back again once he'd got his pension, Blair and his lecture tours, Ashcroft and his non-dom status..... Read Animal Farm (by George Orwell), although most people think it is written against left wing politics, it actually describes any of the main parties. Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ??? |

But once you start believing that you will never be happy with who is in power. To get in power and stay in power they have to say and do the things that make the country better and the population happy. What ever their motives the only way to acheive them is do a good job in power.

It wont matter which party gets in, they will all do something for the good of the country and every one in it, and they will also fuck up on many things that the other parties pick up on and say they would have done it better.

Make your choice based on how the party policies best suit you and your family what ever that is, and make your vote with confidence that it is right for you. That does not mean that its right others. Its like buying a car. Some people when buying a car buy a Ford because it is made by Ford, but most people buy a car that is good value, suits their personal tastes and needs, rather than just because its made by Ford. There will always be the hardcore party supporters that vote for those parties no matter what. Is this right? I don't know. I am also against voting for a change just for a change, but then I am also against voting for what you are used to because you are used to it very well put....to add those that dont fit the above don't vote or dont drive :) |
