Sorry, to add I have read through most of the threads about turbo choice and have seen some use a T2 and also T17's But their is a lot of conflicting info on each. I was leaning towards the T17 but have since read threads saying there are better choices out there. So these are??? Thanks All |

The intended use for the car might also help with turbo selection. I will be a trackday/Hillclimb car. |

Search for GT2056 on here. It's not a ball bearing turbo but may be what you are looking for.

Woops. Its a minisport casting with turbo exhaust guides and sodium valves, Ti caps and heaps of porting work. I got the casting cheap and they are pretty rare in Australia, other than the Elder Heads but they are a bit spendy. |

As John said the GT2056 will give you the most efficient air flow, but is not ball bearing. It should provide enough air flow for around 270hp.

Paul, have you noticed any drawbacks to only being oilcooled? Or did you fit the T17 housing? |

I've not run it yet, so I cannot comment from personal experience.

I agree with mini13 on the stat. I run a 74 degree C stat. works fine on that. I did notice the temps would start to run away too much with the higher 82 degree C temp stats. |

I dont think i'm going to run a thermostat. Leaning towards a Davies Craig Electric pump with the control module. It has some nice features like running after the engine is shut off to stop heat soak and can set the temp to anything I want. Worth a try.... |

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem. |
